**Responsibilities:

- Develop precise 3D models and detailed fabrication drawings using SolidWorks, with a focus on sheet metal design.
- Create flat patterns, DXF files, and laser-ready outputs to support manufacturing processes.
- Accurately apply bend allowances, K-factors, and tolerances to ensure design integrity and manufacturability.
- Translate customer drawings, sketches, and conceptual inputs into production-ready designs.
- Collaborate closely with press brake operators, welders, and laser machine operators to facilitate efficient production.
- Proactively identify and resolve design challenges before they affect shop floor operations.
- Maintain well-organized documentation, including file management and revision control.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
**Qualifications:
**
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with SolidWorks, preferably in sheet metal applications.
- Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, including cutting, forming, and welding.
- Proven ability to produce accurate, shop-ready drawings with minimal supervision.
- High level of attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, production-oriented environment.
- Experience working in a job shop or high-mix, low-volume production environment.
- Familiarity with nesting software, CNC machining workflows, or ERP systems.
- Technical degree or certification in drafting, design, or engineering
