Job Description

• We are seeking a Soldering Technician to support the assembly, modification, and repair of electronic components and assemblies. The ideal candidate will have experience performing precision soldering, working with PCB assemblies, and interpreting technical documentation. This role requires strong attention to detail, steady hand skills, and a commitment to quality workmanship.Responsibilities:Perform hand soldering and rework of electronic components, including through-hole and surface mount (SMT) partsAssemble and modify printed circuit boards (PCBs) and cable assemblies according to specificationsInterpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions to ensure accurate buildsInspect solder joints and completed assemblies for quality and compliance with IPC standardsTroubleshoot and repair defective assemblies or componentsMaintain tools, soldering equipment, and workstations in proper working conditionPerform tasks such as wire stripping, tinning, cable routing, and component placementConduct continuity testing and basic functional checks using appropriate test equipmentDocument work performed and maintain accurate production recordsCollaborate with engineering and production teams to meet project timelines and quality expectationsSkills / Qualifications:Hands-on experience with soldering techniques (through-hole and SMT preferred)Familiarity with IPC standards (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001 preferred)Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and assembly drawingsStrong manual dexterity and attention to detailExperience with hand tools, microscopes, and inspection equipmentBasic troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is a plus
