POSITION SUMMARY

The Solder Machine Operator is responsible for applying brushes or daubers correctly into the cap, checking the overall quality of both

A lot of sitting at a large rotating table in order to quickly and accurately apply applicators to caps.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable Accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

		Start the machine and check the quality of product on a complete rotation of the caps/applicators. Perform required periodic quality inspections throughout the shift.
		Apply brush or dauber to the cap as machine rotates.
		Pull out any bad caps or applicators as you see them.
		Change solder tube and replace with a new tube as needed.
		Check solder paste periodically and adjust the amount distributed as needed.
		Meet or exceed daily production goals.
		Notify material handler or the set-up mechanic when machine issues arise.
		Responsible for overall cleanliness of area around machine.
		Turn off the air, gas and machine at the end of each shift.
		Other misc. duties as assigned.
