POSITION SUMMARY

The Solder Machine Operator is responsible for applying brushes or daubers correctly into the cap, checking the overall quality of both

A lot of sitting at a large rotating table in order to quickly and accurately apply applicators to caps.

  • Start the machine and check the quality of product on a complete rotation of the caps/applicators. 
  • Perform required periodic quality inspections throughout the shift.

  •  
 
  • Apply brush or dauber to the cap as machine rotates.   
 
  •  
 
 
  •  
 
  • Pull out any bad caps or applicators as you see them.   
 
  •  
 
 
  •  
 
  • Change solder tube and replace with a new tube as needed.

  •  
 
  • Check solder paste periodically and adjust the amount distributed as needed.   
 
  •  
 
 
  •  
 
  • Meet or exceed daily production goals.   
 
  •  
 
 
  •  
 
  • Notify material handler or the set-up mechanic when machine issues arise.  
 
  •  
 
 
  •  
 
  • Responsible for overall cleanliness of area around machine.   
 
  •  
 
 
  •  
 
  • Turn off the air, gas and machine at the end of each shift.   
 
  •  
 
 
  •  
 
  • Other misc. duties as assigned.
