We're partnering with a growing electronics manufacturer seeking an experienced SMT Operator to join their Surface Mount Technology (SMT) team. This is a great opportunity for someone with prior SMT experience who enjoys working in a clean, climate-controlled environment and wants to join a stable company investing in modern equipment and long-term growth.

Position Summary

As an SMT Operator, you'll be responsible for operating and monitoring automated SMT equipment used to assemble printed circuit boards (PCBs). You'll help ensure production runs efficiently by verifying materials, monitoring machine performance, maintaining quality standards, and minimizing downtime. This role focuses on operating automated equipment—not manual soldering.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor SMT Pick-and-Place machines, solder paste printers, and automated inspection equipment.
• Verify Bills of Materials (BOMs), component part numbers, feeders, and production setups before each run.
• Monitor production quality, identify defects or machine issues, and escalate concerns as needed.
• Perform feeder changes, material replenishment, and minor machine adjustments to minimize downtime.
• Follow work instructions and accurately complete production documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and ESD-safe work environment.

Qualifications

Required:

• Previous SMT Operator or SMT Technician experience
• Experience working with Pick-and-Place machines or SMT production lines
• Strong attention to detail and basic computer skills
• Reliable attendance and ability to work independently
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.

Preferred:

• AOI experience
• PCB/electronics manufacturing experience
• BOM verification or feeder setup experience

Schedule

• Training: 1–2 weeks on 1st Shift
• Permanent Schedule: Sunday–Thursday, 9:00 PM – 5:30 AM
• Overtime available based on production needs
