Job Description

• Set up and operate slitting equipment according to customer specifications and production schedules
• Perform complete machine setups including knives, spacers, tension pads, and recoiling configurations
• Operate overhead cranes to safely load and unload metal coils
• Monitor slitting operations and make adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency
• Perform cut-to-length and recoiling operations as required
• Inspect slit material for defects including burrs, scratches, camber, edge quality, and dimensional accuracy
• Utilize calipers, tape measures, and precision measuring tools to verify specifications
• Read and follow work orders, blueprints, and production instructions
• Maintain production output while ensuring safety and quality standards are met
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues and assist with basic preventative maintenance
• Maintain a clean and organized 5S work environment
• Work closely with team members to ensure smooth production flow and machine performance

You should be proficient in:

• Equipment Troubleshooting
• Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills
• Deburring Experience
• Machine Geometry & Alignment
• Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
