Slitter Operator - Night Shift

Location:

Elk Grove Village, IL

Pay:

$21.74/hr + $2.00/hr Night Shift Differential

Schedule:

5:45 PM – 6:15 AM (12-hour shifts)

We are hiring Slitter Operators to join a manufacturing team producing packaging materials. This is a hands-on production role that involves operating machinery, handling materials, performing quality checks, and ensuring products meet customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate slitting, roll handling, and wrapping equipment

• Cut and prepare cores for production runs

• Weigh, label, wrap, and palletize finished rolls

• Perform quality inspections before and after production

• Enter production information into company systems

• Move materials using forklifts and other material handling equipment

• Follow all safety, quality, and food safety procedures

• Assist with basic preventative maintenance and report equipment issues

Requirements:

• Experience in manufacturing, production, packaging, or machine operation

• Experience with forklifts, pallet wrapping, or material handling equipment

• Basic computer and data entry skills

• Ability to read measurements and use measuring tools

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

• Ability to work overnight 12-hour shifts
