What you will do:
Site and General Maintenance Supervisor performs facility, equipment, and ground maintenance in support of Tillamook Creamery Visitor Center and Red Barn. The role will also conduct preventative maintenance and improvement projects addressing the wear and tear of the building. They will sustain and improve Visitor Center equipment, systems, utilities, infrastructure and physical assets, with an emphasis on proactive maintenance. This position will manage all third-party maintenance and equipment vendors to address facility issues. This position works collaboratively with Visitor Center department managers and supervisors to ensure maintenance activities are properly prioritized and executed efficiently and timely, while also functioning as project manager on small to medium scale capital and non-capital maintenance and equipment projects.

This position will report directly to the Creamery General Manager.
Here’s a day in the life:
Performs the following maintenance functions but not limited to: painting, building and equipment repairs, and ground maintenance. Complies with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on retail store, ice cream, custodial and kitchen equipment. These include, but not limited to fryers, ovens, stoves, flat tops, walk-in coolers/freezers, reach-in coolers, dishwashers, retail coolers and retail displays.
Perform non-structural maintenance of the grounds such as - paint scraping, painting, weed spraying, pressure washing, fixture repairs, parking lot maintenance, etc.
Supports Visitor Center setup and maintenance of displays and fixtures.
Establishes and maintains a work order system for Visitor Center managers for reporting and addressing site and maintenance concerns.
Develop and implement an effective reliability-centered maintenance program to achieve maximum capabilities of equipment at minimum costs,
Support Visitor Center kitchen and ice cream departments with setup of new equipment. Work with third party vendors for any required setup tasks including electrical or plumbing needs.
Works collaboratively with the Visitor Center Custodial team for special cleaning projects. Will help coordinate using or purchasing any special equipment.
Responsible for organizing and leading work for special projects related to building and facility maintenance.
Oversees all third-party vendors for maintenance, including but not limited to landscapers, electricians, kitchen equipment repair services, HVAC, plumbers, and refrigeration specialist. This role will schedule, supervise, and manage work orders and payment for these vendors.
Establish and maintain a preventive maintenance program for all major Visitor Center equipment.
Assists with proper waste removal from Visitor Center and grounds projects.
Research and orders parts as required for equipment repairs and projects. Receives budget approval from Creamery GM for costs of repairs/maintenance that are outside of preventative maintenance.
Occasionally required to support and work outside of normal scheduled hours to assist with any maintenance emergencies or projects.
Directs activities to ensure timely completion of emergency repairs, routine repairs and preventive maintenance in the Visitor Center to minimize downtime or impact to guests and enable smooth and efficient operations.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with employees at multiple levels throughout the company.
Works collaboratively with Plant Site, Safety, and Engineering teams. May need assistance from those teams to address larger or inter-connected projects.
Make, plan and lead capital and non-capital maintenance and equipment projects to ensure timely and cost-effective achievement of project objectives.
This position is part of the Visitor Center Safety team. Will need to be first responder trained, attend monthly safety meetings and trained on safety violation reporting/compliance/follow up.
Support office movements and furniture assembly.
Place orders for parts, services and inventory.
Demonstrate excellent time-management skills with the ability to work independently with little supervision.
Act a team player and be able to interact with employees at all levels of the company.
Must be able to work at heights.
Demonstrate excellent problem solving and trouble-shooting skills with the ability to make clear, rational decisions under pressure.
Perform other projects and duties assigned by Creamery GM.
Once hired, must be willing to get fall protection, Lift, Forklift, Confined Space and Propane certifications.
Utilize computer systems (CMMS and D365) to generate work requests, track hours worked, and initiate purchasing requests.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
High school diploma or GED is required.
3+ years of experience of maintenance in kitchen/food service or manufacturing environment required.
1+ years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Forklift and Scissor Lift and Pallet Jack Certification.
Propane Certification.
Must be a team player and be able to interact with staff at all levels of the company.
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors, and the general public.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to work independently with little supervision.
Valid Oregon Driver’s License.
Ability to work any shift and weekends.
