**JOB DESCRIPTION

**Position Summary:

**

This position is responsible for supporting the accounting and finance functions for the Monticello site. The Senior Accountant processes daily, weekly, and monthly accounting transactions, reporting, and analysis. This role plays a critical role in monthly and annual closing activities. The Sr. accountant will teach and mentor the accounting team.

**Key Responsibilities:

**

  • Standard cost maintenance and analysis

  • Analyzes P&L and balance sheet performance and trends

  • Analyzes variance to budget and forecast

  • Interprets operating results as the affect financial performance and make recommendations related to profit and working capital improvements

  • Support CAPEX investment and analysis

  • Plays a key role in creating the annual budget

  • Processes daily financial transactions using our ERP system

  • Recommends and drives process improvements

  • Plays a key role in the monthly closing function and financial statement preparation

  • Monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting

  • Cash management including cash forecasting

  • Reviewing accounting systems and controls.

  • Internal/ External audits.

  • Special projects, ad-hoc reports/analysis, and other duties as required.

**Required Education / Experience / Skills:

**

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting is required MBA or CPA is desired

  • At least 6-7 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment is required

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and SOX is required

  • Proficiency with Hyperion, Oracle and Microsoft is preferred

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • High energy with ability to multi-task

  • A continuous improvement mind-set, can share experiences of implementing process improvements

  • Pro-active, analytical, accurate, conscientious, customer oriented, results oriented
