- Uses statistical process control to demonstrate appropriate controls for directing the process into the optimal process window. Theories of fundamental process dynamics are developed and secure the process to established scientific and engineering principles.
- Effectively advances yields, quality, and throughput of production-scale processes. Establishes metrics for measurement of improvement so that progress is demonstrated and quantified.
- Ensures work instructions, value stream maps (VSM) and failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) documentation are completed on all critical processes.
- Successfully applies design of experiments (DOE) techniques to solve problems and facilitate new product and process designs.
- Leads cross-functional teams to achieve long term manufacturing goals while serving as mentor to other engineers in problem solving, approach and documentation.
- Responsible for creating clearly defined project proposals to ensure the scope of work and deliverables are identified and measurable.
- Creates, interprets, and presents reports and presentations for internal and external customers as required by contracts.
