Summary

Provide oversight and support in the daily activities of the Elk Point facility to ensure operational integrity. Act as a liaison on production output and other matters with the General Manager, Vice President, Human Resources Manager, and other departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Communicate with the General Manager to establish and meet production goals (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually).
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals.
  • Coordinate across departments to ensure production goals are met
  • Discuss departmental issues with the Human Resources Manager, including compliance, risk, performance, and labor related matters.
  • Work with team members to establish stock parts inventory standards, ensuring timely repairs and adherence to budget goals
  • Ensure safety practices, including the use of personal protective equipment.
  • Complete manufacturing orders promptly to avoid production delays.
  • Ensure accurate M3 time transactions to measure labor costs.
  • Coordinate with the Quality team to ensure parts and weldments meet specifications.
  • Assist team members in daily tasks to meet production and budget goals.
  • Maintain organizational standards and culture within responsibilities.
  • Exhibit operational and performance excellence as a role model.
  • Perform all duties according to best safety practices.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field.

Working Conditions

  • The job is performed under extreme temperature variations and some hazardous conditions.
  • Must be able to safely operate equipment at heights up to and exceeding 100 feet.

 

Performance Requirements

  • Positive attitude and professional demeanor
  • Punctual attendance from 7:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday with additional hours as needed.
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures and hazardous conditions.
  • Occasional lifting carrying pushing and pulling; climbing and balancing on ladders and platforms above 42 inches; significant stooping kneeling, crouching, and crawling up to 12 hours per day, 60 hours per week.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Operate equipment at heights up to 100 feet.
  • Ability to operate a CDL Class B vehicle per state/federal guidelines.
  • Oral and written communication skills for effective expression and comprehension.
  • Reasoning ability to apply general rules to specific problems and identify solutions.
