Job Overview:

Maintenance Supervisor – Fabrication Shop

Are you the kind of person who can hear a machine and know something is off? Do you enjoy troubleshooting equipment, keeping a shop running smoothly, and working alongside the team to solve problems? We’re looking for a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance efforts in our sheet metal fabrication shop.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing critical equipment such as press brakes, shears, welders, rollers, and plasma tables. You’ll play a key role in minimizing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and supporting a safe, productive work environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead shop maintenance activities with a strong focus on safety and OSHA compliance.
  • Maintain and repair fabrication equipment including press brakes, shears, welders, rollers, and plasma tables.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to identify and address issues before they impact production.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Report equipment concerns and recommend corrective actions to the Manufacturing Shop Manager.
  • Maintain tools, parts, and maintenance supplies.
  • Complete maintenance records and documentation accurately.
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance, reliability, and shop efficiency.
  • Serve as a technical resource to help resolve equipment-related issues and support production teams.
  • Participate in all required training and follow EHS recommendations.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience maintaining equipment in a sheet metal or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of fabrication equipment such as press brakes, shears, and welders.
  • Forklift and material handling equipment experience; certification preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems; hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical experience is a plus.
  • Self-starter with a practical, hands-on approach to problem solving.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed.
