Position Summary

The Shop Hand supports daily shop operations by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment. This position assists technicians, mechanics, welders, and other shop personnel with equipment handling, material preparation, inventory management, and general labor tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop, yard, and work areas.Assist technicians and tradespeople with projects and repairs.Load, unload, and move materials, tools, and equipment.Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other shop equipment as authorized.Clean, inspect, and prepare tools and equipment for use.Assist with inventory counts and stocking supplies.Receive, organize, and store incoming materials and shipments.Perform basic maintenance and housekeeping duties.Follow all company safety policies and procedures.Dispose of waste materials in accordance with environmental and safety requirements.Complete additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

• - High school diploma or GED.

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions.

  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions.

  • Ability to work in varying temperatures.
