Job Type: Full-time (40-45 hours per week)
About the Role
TrailersPlus is seeking a dependable and hands-on Parts and Service Assistant (PSA) to join our Lot Operations team. In this role, you will support the daily operations of our Parts and Service Department. You will be responsible for handling inbound and outbound inventory, installing parts, servicing trailers of all makes and models, and ensuring our products are ready for customer demonstrations. If you have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a clean, safe work environment, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily safety and quality control inspections of trailers on the lot.
  • Perform parts installations, trailer servicing, accessory attachments, and warranty work.
  • Assist with the receipt of trailer, parts, and supply deliveries, ensuring all paperwork is submitted accurately to management.
  • Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and professional appearance of the store facility, shop, and grounds.
  • Collaborate strategically with the store management team to support daily inventory control and operational processes.
  • Support the sales team with trailer sales activities as needed (sales licensing required in certain states).
  • Operate lot equipment including forklifts, tractors, power tools, and welding equipment upon receiving company certification.
  • Attend and actively participate in all scheduled team and company meetings.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent baseline education.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Strong mechanical ability with experience troubleshooting and solving practical problems.
  • Communication: Ability to read, interpret, and write safety rules, operating manuals, and basic correspondence. Must be able to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to routinely lift 50–75 lbs, climb ladders, balance, kneel, squat, and stand for extended periods in various weather conditions.
  • Professional Attributes: Excellent time management, sharp attention to detail, and a focus on providing quality customer service.
  • Technical Familiarity: Basic computer keyboarding and online system navigation skills are helpful but not required.
Work Environment
This position involves working both indoors and outdoors. You will be exposed to outside weather conditions, wet/humid environments, moving mechanical parts, and materials detailed in Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
