What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities):

As a Service Repair Technician, you will be the backbone of our service shop, handling installations, safety inspections, and general facility upkeep.

  • Mechanical & Service Work: Install trailer parts/accessories, perform preventative maintenance, and execute warranty repair work.

  • Safety & Quality Inspections: Complete thorough Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) and Post-Labor Inspections (PLIs) to ensure all trailers meet exact safety and invoicing standards.

  • Consultative Customer Service: Partner with customers to understand their trailer usage and recommend appropriate parts, accessories, or maintenance services.

  • Inventory & Logistics: Receive parts, supplies, and trailer shipments; manage inbound/outbound inventory; and submit completed paperwork to management.

  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate power tools, welding equipment, forklifts, and tractors (Company training and certification provided).

  • Facility Upkeep: Maintain a clean, secure, and professional shop environment to promote team safety and brand standards.

  • Sales Support: Assist the store management team with lead generation, trailer sales, and customer hand-offs as needed. (Must be willing to obtain a state sales license where legally required).

What We’re Looking For (Requirements):

  • Education & Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent, combined with 6 months to 1 year of related mechanical, technical, automotive, or trailer repair experience.

  • Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, technical troubleshooting ability, and sharp attention to detail.

  • Customer Skills: Outstanding communication and professional customer service skills.

  • Basic Math & Computer Literacy: Ability to calculate percentages, proportions, area, and volume; comfortable using online computer systems for inventory and reporting.

  • Safety First Mindset: Uncompromising commitment to safe, ethical, and professional conduct. Ability to read and interpret safety rules, maintenance manuals, and MSDS documents.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, climb ladders, and maintain balance while handling equipment.

  • Must be able to routinely lift 50–75 lbs.

  • Comfortable working in variable weather conditions (outside and in a semi-open shop environment) around moving mechanical parts.
