 Summary: The Shipping & Receiving Production Assistant is responsible for processing and fulfilling customer orders. This role is responsible for handling the movement, packaging, and shipping of products using forklifts and other powered equipment.  The Shipping & Receiving Production Assistant is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform Production Assistant duties for other departments.  

 Schedule: 2nd Shift-Primary schedule will be 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM, Monday – Friday, or similar, based on business needs. This is an in-person position. Training may occur at other times.

Salary Range: $19.00 To 20.00 Hourly

Compensation commensurate with experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: 

  • Load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials using a forklift, clamp truck, or other powered industrial equipment.
  • Pull and prepare product orders for shipment, verifying quantity and ensuring accuracy.
  • Package, label, and weigh items to be shipped, selecting the correct shipping methods and applying accurate charges.
  • Transfer products efficiently from staging or storage areas into rail cars or trailers.
  • Maintain shipment accuracy by identifying and reporting damages or product quality variances.
  • Efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate areas
  • Report all injuries, illnesses, and near misses to management immediately.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and regulations as set forth by 4over.
  • Complete and maintain required records and paperwork, as needed.
  • Perform regular housekeeping duties in assigned and surrounding areas.
  • Attend all department/company meetings, as needed.
  • Perform other assigned duties, as assigned.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

 

EDUCATION, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCES: 

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalency; or six-months to one-year related experience in a manufacturing environment and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Six (6) months – one (1) year related shipping experience in a manufacturing environment and/or training
  • Basic computer knowledge required 

CRITICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:

  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Ability to read and understand corporate policies, job-related documents, and written/verbal instructions in English to ensure effective and compliant job performance.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as needed
  • Quality and safety-focused
  • Strong reading comprehension relevant to the job
  • Detail-oriented, organized, with effective time management and task completion
  • Adaptable to changing environments
