NOW HIRING: Millerbernd Manufacturing in Winsted, MN is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Operator 2 to join our Transportation & Infrastructure (T&I) team. The Shipping & Receiving Operator 2 is responsible for the identification of specific component parts and preparation of product for shipment.
Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Operator 2
Location: Winsted, MN
Salary Range: $25.00-$29.00/hour (non-exempt)

Shift Schedule: 1st shift: Monday - Thursday, 5AM-3PM
Shift Differential: 1st shift – N/A
As a Shipping & Receiving Operator 2, you will:
- Uses crane, hoist, forklift, or other material handling equipment to transport materials and products into and out of the work area as required
- Package, band, or shrink-wrap products or loads
- Efficiently load and unload finished products on trucks
- Provide input for loading decisions and executes the daily plan
- Follow customer shipping specifications/standard work
- Inspect material handling equipment and lifting devices
- Verifie/Count parts moved to match paperwork for inventory accuracy
- Maintain accurate inventory of shipping materials
- Interpret blueprints, BOL, and other necessary documents to identify parts
- Interpret priorities to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner
- Occasionally perform cycle counts
- Specifies standard work and gives recommendations
- Utilize ERP software to understand the status of jobs & materials moving through the manufacturing process
- Inspect deliveries and accurately logs documentation
- Gather/pick/assemble products on load lists
- Put product away in designated areas
- Safely operate yard truck and pay loader, as required
- Keep area organized, maintain 5S Guidelines
- Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives
- May train employees
Role qualifications as a Shipping & Receiving Operator 2:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Skill of effective and appropriate verbal and written communication skills in English
- Skill to accurately use tape measure and precision measuring devices
- Proficient knowledge in interpreting blueprints and mechanical drawings
- Computer literate; particularly in word processing, spreadsheet, email, shop floor control, production planning, and inventory control applications
- Ability to perform basic shop math functions
- Ability to read and understand required internal manufacturing paperwork
- Ability to electronically record production information
- Ability to work independently using standardized practices and/or procedures and with others as part of a high-performance team
- Adapt to changing work priorities
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
