JOB DUTIES:
· Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of raw material goods and most non-inventory
· Supports the received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods.
· Collaborates with Inventory Control and Quality Assurance teams for making pickup arrangements by the carrier specified on the customer’s purchase order, which is conveyed to the shipping clerk by final inspection via the shipping instructions.
· Sorts and stores packages that require special handling.
· Maintains daily shipping records to verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments and orders.
· Collaborates with buyers, Quality Assurance, and/or Transportation Department for missing paperwork, report damaged deliveries, and/or purchase order discrepancies.
· Unpacks, examines, and routes incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and works with buyers to rectify damages and shortages.
· Receives and collaborates with other internal departments to processes all defective parts returned for replacement or credit.
· Assembles sample orders and prepares goods for shipments
· Coordinates with other departments to insure “ON TIME DELIVERY” to customers.
· Receive, unpack, inspect, and store incoming materials and supplies.
· Operate forklift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move, or hoist materials to proper departments or areas.
· Maintains shipping/receiving inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
· Loads containers/trucks as appropriate.
· Personal responsibility for following safety rules and all relevant SOPs. Adheres to GMPs
· Receive, inspect, deliver and/or prepare for shipment of non-inventory shipments for internal departments daily
· Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
· Provides Proof of Delivery of incoming materials/components to customers and internal departments daily
· Prepare purchase orders, orders, and maintain office supplies for Production and Warehouse departments
· Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
· Creates RTV’s and have it ready with appointments for the warehouse
· Create Packing lists, BOL’s and Commercial Invoices
· Evaluates UPS invoices weekly by department for charges
· Communication of POD’s to AP department and Suppliers while maintaining accuracy on the documentation
· Collaborates on the process of Destruction loads shipments with Inventory Control
· Weekly maintenance and tracking on the recoup of platforms
· Schedule incoming loads of raw materials and components
· Request materials from the outside warehouse for production needs
· Coordination of finished goods inventory that needs to be shuttled to the outside warehouse
· Coordination of materials arriving from the outside warehouse to the production lines
· Maintain forklift driver daily log
· Maintain missing COA and COC log
· Coordinate weekly Safety and on the spot trainings to the warehouse associates
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES:
· As necessary, performs other related functions of which the above are representative.
· Assists in cycle counts during the year end inventory.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
· High School Diploma or GED equivalent
· Ability to operate software related to in-motion system, UPS shipping systems, JDE, and FedEx
· Proficient in Microsoft office
· Prior manufacturing experience preferred
· Must be at least 18 years of age.
· Basic math skills.
· Effective written communication skills, including legibility.
· Must be able to respond to verbal and written instructions
· Strong attention to detail.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Must be detail oriented and organized. Must be flexible to change priorities on assigned tasks; must be able to read, write and speak English well enough to complete assigned tasks and communicate effectively. Must be able to interface with different level of associates in different departments. Must have legible handwriting. Excellent time management skills required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Physical ability to repetitively lift, stand, climb, bend, use hand dolly for transporting packages. Activities to include walking, standing, and sitting at a workstation. Must be capable to lift up to 25 kg when required. Significant level of mental / visual effort required in order to assure accuracy of information entered to the mainframe of PC software. Ability to see the letters and numbers on a PC screen and on paper documents (near vision). Ability to talk to and hear persons contacted on the job; moderate hand coordination for the use of the PC keyboard.
