East West Tea is seeking a talented, passionate, and experienced Shipping Supervisor to join our Warehouse team! 

 

The Shipping Supervisor will lead all outbound shipping operations across our Eugene and co-manufacturing sites- ensuring every order ships on time, in full, damage-free, and compliant, at the lowest total cost. Overseeing the full shipping execution cycle- from wave planning and picking through packing, loading, documentation, carrier handoff, and end-of-day reconciliation. Maintaining strong carrier and cross-functional partnerships, ensures compliance with hazmat and regulatory requirements, and drives continuous improvement against OTIF, cost, and productivity targets.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN: 

Shipping Execution 

  • Conducts daily review of all documents related to order processing, shipping, and invoicing of sales orders to assure accuracy and timely completion 
  • Monitors and reports order picking accuracy and productivity (lines picked per labor hour) against established targets
  • Manages dock scheduling and appointment coordination in collaboration with Transport Planner and Shipping Admin 
  • Maintains accurate chain of custody documentation at all outbound handoff points, including BOL management, carrier sign-off, proof of delivery, OS&D reporting, and internal transfer records for shuttle truck movements between sites


Staffing, Scheduling & Training 

  • Creates and communicates work schedules to shipping staff and within the organization
  • Ensures all shipping staff are cross-trained within the department
  • Assures shipping staff receive appropriate training including GMP’s, Safety, Material Handling, Equipment and hazmat certifications


Intra-Company Transfers & Equipment 

  • Oversees and schedules intra-company transfer of finished goods and samples
  • Oversees maintenance and repairs of warehouse equipment and assets


KPI, Reporting & Continuous Improvement 

  • Owns and drives performance against key shipping KPI’s: OTIF %, appointments kept %, damage rate %, cost per order %, lines picker per labor hour, and dock turns per door per day
  • Tracks and reports key safety KPIs including incident rate, near-miss reporting completion, and forklift/PIT compliance metrics to ensure a safe warehouse environment


WHAT YOU KNOW AND HAVE EXPERIENCED: 

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a shipping/warehouse role
  • Minimum 2 years' experience with direct supervision of shipping or warehouse staff
  • High level proficiency in warehouse and inventory management systems
  • ERP Experience
  • Advanced computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Ability to comply fully with GMP’s and CFR Part 111 Dietary Supplement Regulations
  • Forklift certified or ability to obtain certification
