Job Overview:

Shipping & Receiving Specialist

Pay: $17.00–$21.00 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 5:30 AM–4:00 PM

Job Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Specialist to join a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse team.

This is a hands-on position that combines shipping, receiving, inventory, packaging, material handling, and basic computer/administrative work. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, comfortable working with both physical materials and computer systems, and takes pride in accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Count, verify, package, label, and prepare finished parts for shipment
  • Prepare packing slips, shipping labels, and other shipment documentation
  • Receive incoming materials, supplies, and vendor shipments
  • Verify quantities, part numbers, paperwork, and material condition
  • Move, stage, organize, and deliver materials throughout warehouse and production areas
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts and complete basic ERP/system transactions
  • Support shipping and receiving activities according to customer and production requirements
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment when trained and authorized
  • Assist with packaging, counting, sorting, labeling, and general warehouse duties
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow all safety procedures, work instructions, and quality requirements

Qualifications

  • Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, inventory, packaging, or manufacturing experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn ERP or shipping systems
  • Ability to accurately count and verify parts and materials
  • Ability to read part numbers, work orders, packing instructions, and shipping documents
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Forklift, pallet jack, or material-handling experience is a plus

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the shift
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, package, move, and stage parts and materials
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing and warehouse environment
  • Ability to perform repetitive counting, packaging, labeling, and material-handling tasks

Compliance Requirement

This position requires access to technical data regulated under U.S. export control requirements (ITAR/EAR). Applicants must meet applicable U.S. person eligibility requirements, including U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, or lawful permanent residents. Proof of status will be required prior to employment.
