Shipping/Receiving Supervisor

Responsibilities:
Supervises the day-to-day operations of a Warehouse department / Shift.
Ensures Health and Safety requirements are adhered to at all times by audit and review, and ensures Leads carry out daily checks for compliance.
Manages time and attendance processes in Workday for Hyve employees and contingent workers to ensure accurate reporting and payroll for the department
Working knowledge and application of all people policies and processes and pro-actively participates and contributes to developing them.
Maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items. Ensures Shipping processes are complete and accurate
Suggests actions for improvements through in- depth proposals / clear presentations to Senior Management
Responsible for achieving business goals related to productivity, retention, attendance, shipping and inventory control
Helps maintain regulatory compliance relating to the facility through regular audits and setting an example by exhibiting role model behaviors
Ensures materials are ordered and in stock to meet company requirements
Develops material schedules and coordinates the efficient movement of materials
Reports and documents inventory discrepancies through supervision of cycle counting activities
Investigates errors that affect inventory and implements activities to prevent further re-occurrences
Protection of all company assets
Responsible for ensuring all associates are trained correctly and performance is monitored in line with SYNNEX policy, procedure and expectations.
Monitors spare parts inventory and performs/ supervises inventory adjustments
Supports / supervises 3PL functions where applicable
Lifts heavy items and operates a forklift.
Shift working as required
Supports wider management team as required
Effectively manages warehouse function in all aspects of new model introductions.
In depth knowledge of electronic applications to support the Warehouse function
Participates effectively in the hiring process, monitors on the job induction process to ensure this is effective and carries out regular appraisal activities for all reporting staff in line with company requirements.
Investigates issues, resolves them and implements improvement activities to prevent re occurrence. Monitors improvements to successful completion
Has a good working knowledge of company processes and procedures and applies them effectively and appropriately.
Role Model Behavior.
Provides support across department groups, ensuring visibility and structure to the Warehouse services
Reviews existing tools and works with internal teams to develop enhancements.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years man management experience practiced in a fast-paced, customer focused Warehouse environment.
Has obtained recognized Warehouse Supervisory management certification, holds a certification such as CILT, or is working towards the same.
Knowledge of ISO audits and compliance items as well as industry standards/practices applied in a Warehouse/ Logistics environment.
Must be able to contribute effectively to Business goals
Knowledge of High Value security requirements within a specialized Warehousing environment
Proficient in Windows, Microsoft word, excel and email
In depth knowledge of working with Warehousing systems
Must be flexible to travel as needed <25%.
Logistics Mgmt.: Oversees the planning and controls the flow of materials, products, services and related systems information from point of origin to point of delivery. Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to supply chain services, inventory control, or critical parts availability, material handling, import-export licensing, third-party warehousing and shipping/receiving activities.
Good general level of education,
Minimum of 3 years man management experience practiced in a fast paced, customer focused Warehouse environment
Good written and verbal communication skills
Has obtained a recognized supervisory management certification or is working towards the same
Valid counterbalance forklift truck license.
