Purpose:
This role manages raw material receiving, customer shipment scheduling, logistics (including LTL and expedites), and inventory control by coordinating shipments to match customer demand and production plans, maintaining accurate ERP documentation for receiving and shipping, and partnering with Operations, Warehouse, Accounting, Purchasing, and Sales to ensure proper stock levels, efficient storage utilization, accurate order fulfillment, and timely communication to internal and external stakeholders. The role is accountable for inventory control activities such as cycle counts, location verification, holds, discrepancy research and adjustments (including annual physical inventory), reporting and reconciliation, and supporting a strong safety culture; automotive experience is preferred.
Key responsibilities:
Schedule and adjust customer shipments based on demand and production plans
Coordinate logistics with carriers, including LTL and expedites
Ensure accuracy and efficiency of inbound and outbound shipments, orders, and documentation
Maintain current inventory records in the ERP system and monitor inventory/production balances
Place product on hold for management review when issues are identified
Execute inventory control processes (cycle counts, location verification, error reporting, short ships, cancellations, product orders, racks)
Provide feedback to customers and internal leadership on shipment condition and accuracy
Qualifications:
Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience
3+ years in supply chain/customer order management, including EDI releases and ASN
Understanding of production control, logistics, and material flow in a manufacturing environment
Detail-oriented; committed to accuracy and meeting customer deadlines
Strong analytical/computer skills; proficiency with MS Office
Preferred: Power BI, ERP, and SharePoint experience
