**Shipping & Receiving Specialist

$20-22/HR**

The Shipping & Receiving Specialist is responsible for supporting product duties, including raw stock, parts identification, shipping, receiving, stockroom, stock handling, and clean operations.

Shipping & Receiving Specialist Responsibilities

• Identify components using appropriate identification methods, tools, and equipment in accordance with travelers and blueprints
• Measure and mark precise dimensions and locations on parts for required identification labeling
• Prepare parts and materials for shipment to ensure safe handling and secure transport, including completion of all required shipping documentation and records
• Package materials according to specifications and generate necessary labels, forms, and shipping records through computer systems
• Review and interpret shipping instructions outlined in company procedures, customer requirements, and applicable government or industry standards related to packaging and preservation
• Create stencils and clearly mark shipments for accurate identification and delivery
• Complete air bills, bills of lading, and sales order documentation for carriers and internal company records
• Coordinate with carriers to schedule shipments, confirm freight rates, and track shipment status or follow-up information
• Receive incoming materials and verify parts by type, part number, or identification requirements
• Prepare and organize inventory for storage, placing materials in designated stock locations
• Pull and distribute inventory items to fulfill orders based on parts lists and work requirements
• Conduct cycle counts and assist with inventory accuracy and control
• Maintain, update, and retrieve inventory and shipping records using computer systems
• Operate and perform advanced functions within the Automated Storage and Retrieval System, including adding, releasing, editing, and deleting requisitions, as well as resolving shortages when applicable

Shipping & Receiving Specialist Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED

• 2+ years of experience in shipping & receiving role or related

• Basic math skills

• Ability to read and understand specifications

• Forklift certification is preferred

• OSHA certification is preferred
