The Shipping Clerk is responsible for overseeing the shipping process to ensure timely and accurate dispatch of products. This role involves coordinating with various departments to prepare, package, and ship goods, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency to meet customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties:

• Prepare Shipments: Accurately package and prepare products for shipment, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete.
• Load Trucks: Efficiently load trucks with shipments, ensuring that items are securely packed and properly arranged.
• Unload Trucks: Unload incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and inspecting for damage.
• Check Incoming Materials: Inspect and verify incoming materials for accuracy and quality, documenting any discrepancies or issues.
• Computer Literate: Utilize computer systems to track inventory, process shipments, and manage records effectively.

Position Requirements:

• Overtime Flexibility: Ability to work overtime as needed to meet demand. Material Usage Monitoring: Capable of monitoring and managing material usage efficiently.
• Documentation Accuracy: Maintain precise manufacturing control system paperwork and records.
• Training Assistance: Support and assist in training new employees to ensure they understand processes and safety protocols.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety rules and company policies, promoting a safe working environment.
• Reporting Issues: Report unusual conditions or defective materials to a supervisor promptly.
• Additional Duties: Occasionally perform various other duties as assigned by management.

Education

• High School diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work effectively with hands.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Note: This role requires a combination of physical strength and attention to detail to ensure smooth and accurate shipping and receiving operations.
