Shipping & Receiving Associate

Pay: $15.25 per hour

Job Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire

Available Shifts

1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:45 PM
2nd Shift: 6:15 PM – 5:00 AM

Position Overview

We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associates to join our manufacturing team in Fairfield, Ohio. This position plays a key role in ensuring products are accurately received, packaged, and shipped while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Pick, verify, count, and weigh parts for outgoing shipments.
Package products using the correct cartons and packing materials.
Prepare and attach shipping documentation, including packing lists and Bills of Lading.
Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against packing lists.
Inspect incoming materials for accuracy and condition before acceptance.
Move materials to designated departments or storage locations.
Operate forklifts, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment.
Monitor shipping supply inventory and communicate replenishment needs.
Help ensure on-time shipments while minimizing errors.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or order-picking experience is a plus.
Forklift experience preferred or willingness to be trained.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately match numbers and quantities.
Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
Comfortable performing moderate physical work in a manufacturing environment.

Work Environment

Exposure to seasonal temperatures, elevated noise levels, processing oils, and occasional weld sparks.
Safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, and hard hats are required while on the production floor.
