Shipping and Logistics Coordination:
- Ensure outbound shipments meet customer specifications and internal quality standards.
- Prepare and assign accurate shipping documentation (e.g., LTL, ground, CPU) to corresponding loads.
- Track and prioritize remake orders to meet delivery schedules and quality expectations.
- Weigh and measure pallets for accurate freight quoting and order processing.
- Safely load and unload trucks, verifying orders and ensuring correct driver assignments.
- Monitor shipping workflows and allocate resources to support on-time delivery (OTD).
- Communicate daily shipping plans and progress to team leads and plant leadership.
- Oversee label stations and remake tracking systems for real-time shipping needs.
- Manage incoming/outgoing finished goods carts and maintain proper documentation.
- Issue detailed shipping instructions to team members for consistency and efficiency.
- Follow up on outbound shipments to confirm accurate and timely delivery.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Train and monitor shipping team members to ensure compliance with quality control guidelines.
- Inspect packaged orders to confirm accuracy and adherence to standards.
- Coordinate with production leadership to address incomplete orders or missing components.
- Establish procedures to promptly locate and resolve missing product issues.
Safety:
- Adhere to safety protocols and participate in ongoing training to maintain a secure work environment.
- Follow all location PPE guidelines and 5S principles to optimize workflow and maintain a clean work environment.
Team Collaboration and Communication:
- Foster a collaborative work environment through effective communication and cross-training.
- Provide clear handoff details between shifts to ensure workflow continuity and OTD goals.
- Train team members on accurate order counting and shipping processes.
- Train new staff on job duties, operational procedures, and company policies.
- Use Microsoft Teams and email to communicate updates, needs, and task completion.
- Assist with cart repairs and pallet building to ensure shipping material readiness.
- Step into production roles as needed to support the team and maintain workflow.
- Resolve employee and customer concerns in a timely and professional manner.
System and Process Management:
- Create and distribute daily shipping reports to shift managers and plant leadership.
- Ensure shipping paperwork is completed, initialed, and scanned for invoicing accuracy.
- Utilize inventory and shipping systems (e.g., IMS) to receive POs and manage data entry.
- Prepare and send customer invoices based on shipped orders.
- Order necessary supplies and equipment to support operational continuity.
Other Duties:

Qualifications (Education, Experience, & Skills Required)
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- 3–5 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or operations in a manufacturing or distribution environment preferred.
- Proven ability to foster a collaborative work environment.
- Strong understanding of shipping processes, documentation, and logistics systems.
- Experience with inventory management systems (e.g., IMS) and timekeeping platforms.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Knowledge of quality control standards and packaging requirements in a production setting.
- Ability to analyze issues, resolve concerns, and follow through on outstanding items.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one strongly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and emergency response procedures preferred.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance in documentation and reporting.
