Purpose of Position:


Del Monte Foods is the Foods Division of Fresh Del Monte, a global grower, producer and marketer of fresh, value-added, and shelf-stable produce. Del Monte Foods has a powerful portfolio of brands, including the iconic Del Monte®, Contadina® and S&W®. Del Monte Foods in Plover, Wisconsin is hiring Seasonal Shipping Clerks to support shipping, receiving, inventory coordination, warehouse communication, scheduling, documentation, and logistics activities during pack season operations. Employees in these positions assist with shipment processing, inventory tracking, driver coordination, shipping systems, and warehouse administrative support to ensure efficient product movement throughout the facility.

Accountabilities:


Seasonal Shipping Clerks perform warehouse administrative, shipping, receiving, inventory, scheduling, and logistics support functions in a fast-paced food manufacturing and warehouse environment. Employees in these positions support shipping accuracy, inventory management, driver coordination, warehouse communication, and operational logistics activities throughout pack season operations. Employees work closely with Distribution Coordinators, Shipping Supervisors, warehouse personnel, forklift operators, carriers, and operational leadership to support daily shipping and receiving activities while maintaining inventory accuracy and customer shipment requirements.


Employees may perform duties in one or more operational areas, including: 

  • Coordinate shipping and receiving activities for finished goods, materials, packaging supplies, or inventory items
  • Check drivers in and out of the facility and assign loading or unloading locations
  • Prepare, distribute, review, and audit shipping and receiving documentation
  • Process shipping confirmations, receipts, inventory movements, and warehouse transactions in SAP, Blue Yonder, or related systems
  • Create STOs, inventory transfers, shipment records, ASN documentation, tags, or related logistics paperwork
  • Coordinate shipment schedules, appointments, and transportation activities with carriers and warehouse personnel
  • Support inventory reconciliation, inventory adjustments, and order management activities
  • Monitor product availability and communicate shortages or inventory concerns to operational teams
  • Assist forklift operators and warehouse staff with shipping, receiving, or inventory documentation issues
  • Maintain accurate spreadsheets, reports, shipping logs, and warehouse documentation
  • Answer phone calls, emails, instant messages, and operational communication requests related to warehouse activities
  • Maintain clean and organized office, breakroom, restroom, and work areas
  • Follow GMP, food safety, inventory control, and workplace safety requirements
  • Communicate operational concerns, inventory issues, shipment delays, or safety concerns to leadership
  • Assist Distribution Coordinators, Shipping Supervisors, and warehouse leadership as assigned 


Training 

  • On-the-job training is provided for all assigned work areas. Employees may be cross trained in multiple operational functions based on business needs.

 

Seasonal Incentives


To support employees during our peak pack season, Del Monte Foods offers select incentives for eligible seasonal workers. These incentives are designed to assist with temporary relocation and seasonal work demands and may include:

  • Housing assistance or housing incentives
  • Transportation allowance
  • Sanitation Bonus (for eligible employees)


These incentives are available only during the active pack season (typically June through early October) and are subject to eligibility requirements, availability, and business needs. Incentives may be modified or discontinued at any time based on operational conditions.


Minimum Skills Required:

  • Ability to work safely in a fast-paced warehouse and manufacturing environment
  • Ability to maintain accurate records, documentation, and inventory information
  • Ability to use computers, calculators, telephones, scanners, and warehouse systems effectively
  • Ability to work within SAP, Blue Yonder, Excel, Outlook, or related inventory and logistics systems
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions accurately
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Ability to communicate professionally with drivers, warehouse personnel, and operational leadership
  • Ability to maintain productivity and organization during high-volume operational periods
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Reliable attendance and dependability throughout the seasonal production period
  • Previous warehouse, shipping, logistics, inventory, or manufacturing experience
  • Experience using SAP, Blue Yonder, WMS systems, or inventory management software
  • Previous experience with scheduling, transportation coordination, or shipping documentation
  • Strong Excel, Outlook, and computer proficiency
  • Experience with inventory reconciliation, ASN processing, or logistics coordination
  • Knowledge of shipping, receiving, warehouse, or transportation operations
  • Bilingual communication skills are a plusAn equivalent combination of education, manufacturing experience, warehouse operations, military service, staffing coordination, employee leadership, administrative support, or related operational experience that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the essential functions of the position may be considered.
