Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our team. This position is responsible for receiving, inspecting, documenting, coding, and distributing incoming materials and products. The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to work effectively with warehouse and other internal teams.
Please note: Our operations are scheduled to relocate from Titusville to Edgewater by autumn 2026. Candidates should be comfortable with this future location change.
Receive and inspect incoming shipments for quantity, quality, and condition.
Verify shipments against purchase orders, invoices, packing slips, and other documentation.
Identify and document shortages, discrepancies, or damaged materials.
Reject damaged or incorrect shipments as necessary and communicate issues to suppliers and appropriate departments.
Safely unpack and inspect incoming goods.
Enter receiving and inventory information accurately into the company’s inventory management system.
Assign appropriate product codes and identification numbers.
Label materials using company-required tags, barcodes, or other identification methods.
Route received materials to the appropriate warehouse or facility locations.
Maintain organized and accessible inventory storage areas.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure materials are distributed promptly and accurately.
Maintain accurate records of incoming shipments, quantities, conditions, and discrepancies.
Complete, organize, and file receiving documentation for inventory and accounting purposes.
Prepare reports regarding received materials, shortages, damages, and other receiving issues.
Assist with routine inventory counts and reconciliations.
Research and report inventory discrepancies to the supervisor or inventory control team.
Support efficient inventory organization and receiving procedures.
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Operate warehouse equipment safely and according to company procedures.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or a related field preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to verify quantities, inspect materials, and identify discrepancies.
Basic computer skills and experience with inventory management systems preferred.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Forklift experience/certification preferred.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and handling of materials.
Ability to safely operate or learn to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
