Pay Range: $19-$21/hr + $3/hr shift differential

Be part of something exciting at Porter Pipe & Supply! This position is based in Addison, IL, at our headquarters, where you will join a thriving team. As a member of our Warehouse Team, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining our culture of customer service excellence. Our Shipping Associates are responsible for accurately picking, packing, loading, and processing customer orders while ensuring inventory is handled safely, efficiently, and with exceptional attention to detail. You'll help keep our warehouse operations running smoothly while supporting both internal and external customers.

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to accurately pick, pack, and process customer orders in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude for inventory counts and shipping accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and manage time effectively.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English.

What You'll Do:

  • Accurately pick, pack, and load customer orders onto delivery vehicles.
  • Prepare bills of lading and verify quantities, destinations, and routing information.
  • Sort, count, package, label, and process inventory for shipment.
  • Inspect outgoing shipments for damage or discrepancies and report issues promptly.
  • Deliver materials to the loading dock and obtain required shipping documentation.
  • Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, dollies, cranes, and shrink wrap machines as needed.
  • Assist team members with problem-solving and daily warehouse operations.
  • Follow all company safety standards, warehouse procedures, and quality expectations.
  • Support additional warehouse responsibilities as assigned.

What You'll Bring:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of one year of warehouse experience.
  • Previous forklift experience preferred.
  • A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to safety and accuracy.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Visual, hearing, and speech abilities necessary to safely perform warehouse duties.
  • Ability to work in varying warehouse conditions, including exposure to temperature changes, noise, and warehouse equipment.
  • Ability to use hands and arms to safely operate warehouse equipment and tools.
