Shipping/Receiving Lead

About the Position

Reliance Gear Corporation is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping/Receiving Lead to support our manufacturing and warehouse operations. This position is responsible for coordinating the accurate and timely shipping, receiving, handling, storage, and movement of materials and finished products.

Key Responsibilities

• Pack and ship finished products according to customer and company requirements.
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and shipping documents.
• Prepare and maintain accurate shipping and receiving documentation.
• Fulfill customer orders and internal material requests.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory reconciliation.
• Safely move, handle, and store materials and finished products.
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe shipping and receiving area.
• Coordinate with Operations, Production, Purchasing, Quality, Sales, and other departments.
• Assist with other warehouse and operational duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Forklift experience required; ability to obtain company certification.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory/shipping systems.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.
• Ability to read and understand purchase orders, invoices, packing slips, bills of lading, and related documents.
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment

This position works in a manufacturing and warehouse environment and requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive movements throughout the workday. The employee must follow all company safety policies and procedures.
