ABOUT THE JOB!
Receives incoming and ships outgoing materials, products, or supplies. Counts items received or shipped and checks against packing lists, recording any discrepancies. Prepares receiving or shipping reports and notes any shortages or damages. Performs repetitive work to pack or load products, parts, or merchandise into designated packages, boxes, crates, or other receptacles in accordance with packaging specifications.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- 3-6 years relevant experience in shipping and receiving and packaging environment.

- Ability to handle multiple programs and tasks simultaneously and efficiently.

- Ability to drive a forklift as necessary.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops, publishes, and maintains the Master Production Schedule, balancing inventory, resources, and capacity planning
- Coordinate and manage daily schedules for team members, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and adherence to deadlines
- Create a rolling 3-month master production plan for designated products. Utilize the production capacity, taking into consideration the sales forecast, historical sales, product availability, and new business opportunity. Analyze and identify risks associated with the options built into the Master Production Plan, including manufacturing lead times
- Integrates sales orders with master schedule; coordinates availability of raw materials, supplies, equipment, and staff as needed to meet delivery dates
- Maintains master distribution schedule for the assigned facility; revises as needed and alerts appropriate staff of schedule changes or delays
- Monitor actual output versus the Master Production Plan. Identify gaps and drive solutions
- Coordinate with plant schedulers to execute Production Plan on a weekly and monthly basis
- Participates in periodic forecasting meetings with sales, marketing, and other related departments; leads additional planning meetings with sales, production, shipping, purchasing, and customer service staff.
- Support the SIOP process meetings to review and performance against schedule, inventory strategy, supply plan to meet demand, and resource implications. Update Master Production Plan as necessary
- Timely reporting of key metrics
- Participates in forecasting/planning meetings with Business Development, Finance, and other related departments
- Develop strategies and work with the operations team on capacity and equipment utilization
- Document key information for analysis which includes downtime, peak production, inventory, and scheduling accuracy
- Monitor material flow, identify bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues to root cause and implement corrective actions
