NOW HIRING: RECEIVING CLERK

Location: Elgin, Illinois

Pay: $20-$22 per hour

Position Type: Non-Union

Position Overview

The Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and recording incoming shipments, maintaining accurate inventory, and supporting daily production operations. This position also involves driving a company vehicle to transport materials, parts, and supplies between company locations and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.

- Inspect materials for damage, defects, and discrepancies.

- Enter receipts accurately into the inventory system.

- Label, organize, and store materials in designated locations.

- Maintain clean and organized receiving and storage areas.

- Communicate with Purchasing, Production, and Quality teams regarding materials and shortages.

- Operate a company vehicle to pick up and deliver materials, parts, and supplies.

- Safely secure materials during transport and follow all traffic laws and company safety procedures.

- Assist with material movement, production staging, shipping, and inventory counts.

- Maintain accurate receiving documentation and assist with special projects as needed.

Required Qualifications

- Must have a valid Class C driver's license and a clean driving record.

- Ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other material-handling equipment, or willingness to obtain certification.

- Basic computer skills and accurate data-entry abilities.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to support a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous receiving, warehouse, or logistics experience.

- Experience with inventory management or ERP systems.

- Forklift certification.

Work Environment

This position works in a manufacturing and warehouse setting and requires frequent standing, walking, lifting, and moving materials. Driving may take place indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Reports to: Materials Manager / Operations Manager / Production Manager
