As a Shipping & Receiving Clerk, you play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials and products throughout the organization. In this position, you will manage and maintain all documentation related to inbound and outbound shipments, including Bills of Lading (BOLs), Delivery Notes, Pick Slips, and Certificates of Analysis (COAs). You will obtain accurate and competitive freight quotes, support compliance with ISO standards, and maintain current ISO documentation.
Success in this role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will help drive operational excellence by supporting on-time shipping and receiving performance, identifying and addressing shipment discrepancies, and ensuring all processes are completed accurately and efficiently. This is a critical role for someone who enjoys problem-solving, collaborating with others, and contributing to a high-performing team.
Responsibilities
Provide information to lead operators for orders to be filled and shipped also provide status of incoming shipments to production / maintenance / purchasing personnel.
Provide all accurate documents for shipping and receiving procedures.
Coordinate all incoming shipments, verify accuracy, receive it in the computer system accordingly and communicate receipt to appropriate personnel.
Responsible for entering accurate data in ERP system used for daily/weekly/monthly reports and reconciliation.
Obtain freight quotes from carriers (domestic) and brokers/steamship companies for export.
Qualifications
High school degree is required.
Associate’s degree in a related field preferred.
Warehouse or logistics experience required.
Good communication and leadership skills required.
Prior experience in an administrative role within a shipping/receiving/logistics department is strongly preferred.
