Our client is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented
Shipping & Receiving Clerk
to support warehouse operations. This role is responsible for receiving, inspecting, documenting, and shipping products while ensuring compliance with customer specifications, purchase orders, and company quality standards. The ideal candidate will maintain accurate records, coordinate shipments, and help keep the warehouse organized and efficient.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments and inspect products for accuracy and quality.
- Verify incoming materials against purchase orders and supporting documentation.
- Prepare outgoing shipments and ensure all required paperwork accompanies each order.
- Coordinate shipments using UPS, FedEx, and freight carriers.
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records.
- Follow customer specifications and quality requirements on sales orders and purchase orders.
- Organize and maintain warehouse inventory and storage areas.
- Keep the warehouse clean, safe, and organized.
- Work closely with team members to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Support other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED
- Previous Shipping & Receiving or warehouse experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to meet attendance and punctuality expectations.
- Experience working with UPS, FedEx, and freight carriers preferred.
- Ability to follow customer specifications and quality standards.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials as required.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work for extended periods.
- Ability to perform warehouse duties in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to safely move products and materials throughout the warehouse.
