Position Summary

BiOrigin Specialty Products is seeking a dependable and safety-focused CDL Class A Truck Driver to support transportation and material-handling operations between our warehouse and main plant. This position is responsible for safely operating company vehicles, moving trailers and materials, loading and unloading as needed, and supporting day-to-day warehouse and plant operations.

The ideal candidate will have previous truck-driving experience, a valid New York State Class A CDL with no restrictions, a strong commitment to workplace safety, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely operate company trucks and other equipment to transport materials between the warehouse and main plant.
• Perform pre- and post- trip inspections
• Load and unload trailers and rail cars as needed.
• Work closely with checkers and other warehouse personnel to stage and prepare loads.
• Operate a front-end loader as required.
• Operate a plow and sander using a four-wheel-drive truck during winter weather and as needed.
• Perform routine inspections and assist with the maintenance and upkeep of company vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain clean and orderly warehouse and work areas.
• Make garbage and waste runs as needed.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
• Communicate effectively and work cooperatively with coworkers, supervisors, and other departments.
• Be willing and available to work overtime and accept call-ins when operational needs require.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Valid New York State Interstate Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with no restrictions.
• Previous professional truck-driving experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

This position requires working in and around a warehouse and manufacturing/plant environment. The employee may be exposed to varying weather conditions, including winter conditions.

The position requires the ability to safely operate vehicles and equipment, perform loading and unloading activities, maintain work areas, and perform other physical tasks associated with warehouse and plant operations.
 This position requires the ability to lift up to 75 pounds and push/pull loads up to 150 pounds. The employee must be able to sit and operate a truck or heavy equipment for extended periods, as well as stand and walk for 6–8 hours as needed. The position requires frequent bending, squatting, climbing, reaching, twisting, and pushing/pulling. Frequent use of both hands and feet is required for operating vehicles, equipment, and controls. Candidates must have sufficient visual acuity and peripheral vision to safely operate trucks and equipment, read labels at a distance, and work safely in all weather conditions. Employees must be able to safely mount and dismount equipment and work independently at times. Reasonable accommodations may be considered for qualified individuals with disabilities.
