We have an immediate opening for a Shift Supervisor – Production (2nd Shift) to lead and coordinate manufacturing operations while ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency goals are consistently achieved. Responsibilities will be carried out directly or through supervision of team members.
Key Job Functions:
- Oversee daily second shift production operations to ensure schedules and customer requirements are met
- Serve as the main point of contact for all shift-related issues and escalate urgent concerns
- Support production lines as needed to maintain efficiency, quality, and safety standards
- Monitor labor efficiency, downtime, scrap, and overall shift performance
- Ensure all products meet quality specifications and work with Quality to resolve issues
- Verify production documentation, batch records, and paperwork for accuracy
- Lead safety practices, enforce GMPs, and ensure proper PPE usage
- Conduct safety observations and support weekly safety checks
- Coordinate basic equipment maintenance and escalate repair needs to leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop production employees and line leaders
- Conduct shift meetings and communicate daily goals and expectations
- Promote accountability, teamwork, and a positive work culture
- Address employee concerns and partner with HR or leadership for resolution
- Ensure facility security procedures are followed at end of shift
- Handle other special projects and requests, as needed
Starting pay: $28.00 to $31.00 per hour
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- At least two to five years of supervisory experience in a production environment
- Experience with filling, capping, labeling, or similar production equipment preferred
- Strong understanding of production metrics and continuous improvement practices
- Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Detail oriented with the ability to read, comprehend, and follow instructions
- Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office as well as ERP systems
- Ability to perform routine machine maintenance and basic equipment repair
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
