Job title: Sheet Metal MIG/TIG Welder (1st Shift)

☆Welder Description:

This position requires the knowledge and ability to use various welding machines. Knowledge of several alloys required.

Duties And Responsibilities:

1: Fit and weld sheet metal with TIG and MIG process.

2. Prep and finish welds.

3: Produce quality product and inspect per drawing.

4: Read and understand mechanical blueprints.

5: Maintain a clean work area.

6: Follow written and verbal instructions.

Requirements:

1: 5-7 Years’ Experience welding.

2: Experience with GMAW from 18ga up to 1/2" thick mild steel.

3. Experience with GTAW from 0.030" up to 1/2" aluminum and stainless.

4: Ability follow direction.

5: Full understanding of fit-up process.

6: Ability to use calipers, tape measure, and other QC tools and equipment

7: Must be detail oriented, punctual, and a team player

8: Able to act on own initiative and work as part of a team consisting of members from other departments.

9: Excellent communication skills, comfortable discussing technical requirements with a client.

You should be proficient in:

• Blueprint Reading
• GMAW Welding
• GTAW Welding
• Weld Fit-up
• Thin gauge welding
