We are seeking an apprentice level and Mechanic level Duct sheet Metal Mechanic for a great project. In this key role, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of high-quality sheet metal systems, with a primary focus on commercial and industrial HVAC ductwork. Key Responsibilities:
- install, assemble, and repair large-scale commercial/industrial sheet metal ductwork and components.
- Accurately read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and shop drawings to guide project work.
- Safely operate equipment essential to the trade, including electric scissor lifts.
- Collaborate effectively with project teams and other trades to ensure timely and successful project completion.
- Conduct work with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and attention to detail.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in commercial/industrial sheet metal ductwork installation.
- Proven ability to read and understand construction blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in operating industry equipment (e.g., electric scissor lifts).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a meticulous eye for detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, with a strong work ethic and commitment to project goals.
Preferred Qualifications (A Plus):
- Experience with welding techniques.
- Knowledge of gas piping installation.
- Familiarity with installing and servicing Variable Air Volume (VAV) systems.
