We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Worker / Press Brake Operator / Metal Setup Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and setting up sheet metal components with precision and efficiency. You will operate various machinery, including press brakes, CNC laser cutters, and stamping presses, ensuring high-quality production standards are met. Your expertise in blueprint reading, tooling setup, and quality inspection will be essential to delivering top-tier metal products. Responsibilities

  • Operate and set up sheet metal fabrication equipment such as press brake machines, CNC laser cutters, plasma cutters, and stamping presses to produce precise components.
  • Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure accurate manufacturing processes.
  • Program CNC machinery including laser cutting systems, CNC lathes, milling machines, and electrical discharge machining (EDM) equipment for complex fabrication tasks.
  • Utilize hand tools and mechanical knowledge to assemble parts, adjust tooling, and troubleshoot machinery issues promptly.
  • Conduct quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, precision measuring instruments, and visual checks to verify dimensions and adherence to specifications.
  • Maintain safety standards by operating cranes, forklifts, and other heavy equipment responsibly while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Document production activities accurately through shift reports and inspection logs to ensure traceability and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Proven experience operating sheet metal fabrication machinery such as press brakes, CNC laser cutters, plasma cutters, or stamping presses.
  • Strong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T principles for precise manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in CNC programming and operation of CNC milling machines, lathes, or laser systems is highly desirable.
  • Mechanical aptitude with hands-on skills using hand tools, tooling setups, welding techniques, and fabrication processes.
  • Knowledge of quality inspection methods utilizing micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to work safely with cranes, forklifts (certification preferred), and other heavy equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to machining tolerances, and process adjustments.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing standards related to sheet metal work including electrical discharge machining (EDM), plasma cutting, and tooling management.
