Job Overview:

Position Summary

Schulte Staffing is are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Assembler to join our client's sheet metal fabrication team. This role requires precision, patience, and strong hands-on ability to assemble and inspect sheet metal components. The Assembler will work with a variety of hand tools, measuring instruments, and materials such as honeycomb mesh to ensure products meet strict quality and performance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble sheet metal parts and subassemblies according to blueprints, work instructions, and specifications.

  • Use a variety of hand tools, such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and hammers, for precise assembly work.

  • Operate and read micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances.

  • Perform tedious and detailed hand work with a high degree of accuracy and consistency.

  • Handle and integrate honeycomb mesh and other specialty materials into assemblies.

  • Inspect components for defects, alignment, and compliance with quality standards.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

  • Follow all safety procedures and adhere to company policies.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, sheet metal, or assembly environment preferred.

  • Ability to use and interpret measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.) accurately.

  • Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.

  • Ability to perform repetitive, precise tasks with accuracy.

  • Comfortable working with small components and detailed assembly tasks.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and commitment to quality.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, bend, and work with hands for extended periods.

  • Lift and carry materials up to 25 lbs as needed.

  • Perform fine motor tasks with precision and steadiness.
