**Sheet Metal Fabricator **
We are hiring skilled Sheet Metal Fabricators to join our client’s team in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and adjusting a variety of fabrication equipment to cut, bend, and shape sheet metal according to precise engineering specifications. Ideal candidates will have experience reading blueprints, using precision measuring tools, and working with fabrication machinery.
Compensation: $22 – $30/hr DOE
Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday 6am-2:30pm, overtime as needed
Full-time, Monday to Thursday 2pm-12:30am, overtime as needed ($ shift differential $2)
(*Training on Day shift Mon-Fri * approx 4 weeks)
Location: Kent, WA
Operate fabrication equipment including saws, shears, punch presses, press brakes, grinders, and CNC machinery (turret punch, routers, lasers)
Set up and adjust machines using shims, fixtures, supports, and tooling to ensure proper alignment and accuracy
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, work orders, and specifications
Measure, mark, and layout materials using rulers, squares, calipers, and other tools
Inspect finished parts using micrometers, gauges, and templates to ensure compliance with tolerances
Perform basic troubleshooting and machine adjustments as needed
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all company procedures, work instructions, and safety protocols
Identify potential hazards and proactively support a safe workplace
Collaborate with team members and leadership to meet production goals
Provide training support to Level I operators (Level II only)
Perform other duties as assigned
Maintain consistent, reliable attendance
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum 1+ year of manufacturing or production experience preferred
Experience using hand tools and material handling equipment
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
Experience with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
Familiarity with grinders, sanders, and other powered tools preferred
Aerospace manufacturing experience is a plus
Higher experience required for Level II placement
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50–75 lbs (with assistance or equipment)
Frequent use of hands for tool operation and part inspection
Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and reaching
Strong visual acuity for reading measurements and inspecting parts
Work Environment:
Manufacturing shop environment with exposure to:
High noise levels (hearing protection required)
Dust, fumes, smoke, and airborne particles
Occasional temperature fluctuations
Heavy machinery and material handling equipment
Required use of PPE including eye protection, hearing protection, gloves, and safety footwear
Position is considered safety-sensitive
Additional Requirements:
On the temp-to-hire program, you will have access to a basic MEC plan
