Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Shear Operator to join our clients team. This role is ideal for candidates with experience working around heavy industrial machinery who enjoy precision, quality control, and hands-on work in a fast-paced environment. This is a contract to hire opportunity

Compensation: $22.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday 6am-3pm

Location: Puyallup, WA

Responsibilities:

• Operate slitter machines and related heavy industrial equipment

• Perform quality control checks to ensure accuracy and consistency

• Measure materials with tape measures and precision tools

• Set up rolls, dyes, and related components for production runs

• Safely move and stage large coils and rolls using forklifts

• Monitor equipment during operation to maintain efficiency and safety

• Follow company procedures and safety guidelines at all times

Requirements:

• Previous slitter/shear operator experience strongly preferred

• Must be able to consistently lift 60-70lbs

• Must have 1+ years recent forklift operating experience

• Experience with roll forming or dye setup highly desirable

• Strong tape measuring and quality control skills

• Ability to work with large, heavy industrial machinery safely

• Reliable attendance and willingness to train on grave shift before moving to swing shift

• Must have a good eye for quality

• Comfortable with using precision measurement tools

• Mathematical skills: fractions
