This is an exciting and challenging position for a motivated individual to join the Electronic Systems’ (ES) Sector Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) function as a SHE Specialist Principal.  This is a hybrid position based in Merrimack, NH which involves working in office and manufacturing environments.  Hybrid employees are expected to work a minimum of 50% on site, on average, when not on business travel.  This position requires 10-25% business travel.  This position will report to the Director of SHE Management Systems.  This position will serve as the ES Sector subject matter expert for Industrial Hygiene, Respiratory Protection, Hearing Conservation, Indoor Air Quality, Ventilation, Hazardous Materials/Chemical Storage, Flammable and Combustible Liquids, Life Safety, and other programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Serve as the ES Sector resource for Industrial Hygiene, Respiratory Protection, Hearing Conservation, Ventilation, Indoor Air Quality, Hazardous Materials/Chemical Storage, and Flammable and Combustible Liquids.
  • Conduct hazard assessments and audits to ensure conformance with policies and
  • compliance with regulations.
  • Conduct comprehensive industrial hygiene surveys to identify and evaluate potential exposures to chemical, physical, and biological hazards, including but not limited to etch gases, solvents, metals, noise, radiation, and ergonomic stressors.
  • Sample, record, and analyze data (e.g., air monitoring, noise monitoring).
  • Prepare, submit, and communicate timely reports to internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate and organized monitoring records.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for employees at all levels.
  • Monitor regulatory updates and proactively develop plans to address new requirements.
  • Representation on ES and Inc. Working Groups as required.
  • Build relationships with internal customers to understand business needs and provide support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education

 
  • 6+ years of experience in a SHE related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene; SHE; or related field.
  • Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
  • Proficiency in using industrial hygiene monitoring equipment.
  • The ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deliver work products on time and on/under budget.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to operate and interact with all levels within an organization (hourly employees to senior executives).
  • Experience interfacing with regulatory agencies, external auditors, and consultants.
  • Ability to interpret local, state, and federal regulations and consensus standards.
  • Organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Skills and Education

 
  • 8+ years of experience in an SHE related field
  • Master’s degree in Industrial Hygiene; SHE; or related field.
  • Experience in the semiconductor, electronics, or related high-tech manufacturing industry.
  • Experience with wafer fabrication processes and associated hazards.
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
  • Professional certification related to SHE.
