Erdrich USA is seeking an experienced
Setup Technician to perform tooling changeovers, machine setups, troubleshooting, and production support in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.
This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for mechanically skilled individuals who enjoy working with tooling, equipment, and manufacturing processes while helping improve efficiency, quality, and uptime.
What You'll Do
- Perform die and tooling changeovers on production equipment.
- Prepare machines and tooling for production runs.
- Verify setups meet quality and production requirements.
- Troubleshoot setup-related issues and assist in minimizing downtime.
- Operate overhead cranes and forklifts safely during changeovers.
- Read production documents, setup sheets, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Work closely with production, maintenance, quality, and leadership teams.
- Recommend improvements that reduce setup times and improve productivity.
- Assist with training operators and setup personnel when needed.
- Maintain 7S, safety, and housekeeping standards.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of manufacturing, stamping, metal forming, tooling, maintenance, or setup experience.
- Ability to perform machine and die changeovers independently.
- Experience reading blueprints and using precision measuring equipment.
- Mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred.
- Experience working in an automotive manufacturing environment preferred.
- Familiarity with SAP, production systems, or manufacturing software is a plus.
- Willingness to work overtime and rotating shifts as needed.
