Position Role Type:

This position is for a Services Project Manager (SPM) who will be directly supporting the various Commercial Services Program teams and Repair Service Centers.

The SPM will also support business pursuit and capture, product support, contract and customer delivery and support. Must be able to coordinate activities across Collins Aerospace and Aftermarket shared business model; Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing, Sales, and Service functions as required. Understand and participate in modeling for spares analysis, cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives (CORE processes).

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Responsible for existing products, services and business, including the management of obsolete parts, repairs and delivery, and customer support.

  • Plans, directs and monitors services program budget and serves as primary customer contact for program information.

  • Handles upgrades to existing products. Has collateral responsibility for profit / loss (P&L) of the program assignments.

  • Has primary responsibility for program growth, may be responsible for follow-on business.

  • Supports Strategic and Financial Planning (SFP) by forecasting budget needs for known and predictive issues over a five (5) year period.

  • Executes business plans, Earned Value (EV) calculations and data deliverables for Program Management for all program phases from inception through completion.

  • Assists in developing accurate program estimates to monitor EV/contract performance.

  • Monitors progress of program against plans, EV targets, and other metrics using control and reporting systems.

  • Collects data and analysis in support of the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes including coordinating preparations of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, operating budgets, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts.

  • Works closely with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to ensure the program’s successful execution in supporting program needs and requirements (i.e. engineering, engineering support, production, services, facilities, etc).

  • Participates in customer meetings and program reviews as required.

  • Coordinates customer action item responses to meet customer program objectives. Maintains program templates, metrics and presentation materials to ensure information on program status and performance is available for further analysis.

  • Reveals and works to remove barriers to business goals, i.e. on-time delivery.

  • Demonstrates continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and quality.

  • Other job duties may vary as program support changes over time.

  • May require minimal travel on an as needed basis.

QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.
  • Experience working with internal and external customers.
  • Experience presenting within organizational meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER:

  • Knowledge of commercial airline and business jet markets.
  • Experience utilizing SAP.
  • Strong/Advanced experience with MS Excel and Analysis/BW Reporting.
  • Understanding of Collins’ product movement process.
  • Ability to read and interpret contract language.

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
