Job Purpose:
This role is centered on providing expert troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of Topcon products. Besides servicing the instruments, responsibilities also include maintaining accurate service records, offering technical support to the Topcon dealer network, and participating in engineering evaluations and failure analysis. The position also involves developing test fixtures, procedures, work instructions, and service manuals. Additionally, it focuses on conducting repair training for the dealer network and junior technicians in both virtual and classroom settings

Minimum Requirements for job:
Education and Experience:
•Minimum 3 years’ experience in an electronics repair in a manufacturing/service role
•AA in electronics or related technology, or equivalent military training. Bachelor’s preferred
•Familiar with test equipment, such as but not limited to multi-meters and oscilloscopes to diagnose and adjust optical, mechanical, and electronic instruments
Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:
•Excellent communication verbal/written skills and ability to work on/with multifunctional teams
•Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills • Strong attention to detail
•Electronic/mechanical troubleshooting skills
•Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
•Knowledge of software/firmware loading with PC’s (i.e., installing and un-installing drivers for PC hardware, loading Operating System and BIOS)
• Working knowledge of laser and surveying instruments is preferred
Physical Requirements:
•Position may require bending, carrying, kneeling, lifting, and walking
•Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. with assistance
Working Conditions:
•Work in an environmentally controlled work area and outside • 20% travel may be required
