Key Responsibilities and Duties:
• Inspections: Conduct daily, monthly, and annual, as well as post-severe weather, inspections of wire ropes, electrical,motors, and structural components to identify damage or wear.
• Maintenance: Perform routine servicing to extend equipment life and improve reliability.
• Repairs: Fix, replace, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on building maintenance units, including suspended roof-mounted carriages.
• Safety Compliance:Ensure systems meet OSHA 29 CFR 1910.66 and ANSI A120.1standards.
• Testing: Conduct load tests and safety tests maintenance units to ensure safe operation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Technical Knowledge: Expertise in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Safety Training: Knowledge of working at heights and specialized safety regulations for suspended access equipment.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex systems under, often, high-stakes safety conditions.
Key Shop work duties:
• Maintenance and duties: Perform routine preventive maintenance (cleaning, lubricating, inspections) and complex repairs (dismantling, replacing parts) on various machines.
• Troubleshooting: Analyze mechanical/electrical malfunctions, using diagnostic tools and technical documents to find and fix problems, minimizing downtime.
• Installation and setup: Install, assemble, and set up new equipment.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
• Collaboration: Work with engineers, operators, and other technicians to resolve complex issues and optimize production.
