As a Senior UX Team Lead, you will drive the user experience vision for Badger Technologies' robotics and software platforms, leading the design of innovative solutions that transform how retailers interact with data, automation, and store operations. This role combines hands-on UX leadership with strategic collaboration across Product Management, Engineering, and Business teams to ensure our products deliver meaningful value to customers.

You will be responsible for defining and executing UX strategy across complex physical and digital experiences, including autonomous robotics, mobile applications, and enterprise dashboards. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in user-centered design, experience architecture, and cross-functional leadership, with a passion for translating customer needs into intuitive, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and champion the UX vision, strategy, and roadmap across products and platforms.
• Lead the end-to-end design process, from research and ideation through prototyping, testing, and implementation.
• Partner closely with Product Management and Engineering to align user experience goals with business objectives and technical feasibility.
• Establish and maintain design standards, systems, and best practices to ensure consistency across experiences.
• Conduct and oversee user research, usability testing, and data analysis to inform product decisions.
• Mentor and develop UX team members while fostering a collaborative, customer-focused design culture.
• Translate complex operational and analytical data into intuitive, actionable user experiences that drive business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience creating and overseeing wireframes, user journeys, information architecture, interactive prototypes, and design systems using industry-standard UX tools.
• Strong background conducting user interviews, usability studies, and leveraging both qualitative and quantitative insights to inform design decisions.
• Experience designing multi-modal experiences spanning web, mobile, touchscreen, and operational dashboard environments.
• Ability to simplify complex datasets into clear, actionable workflows and visualizations.
• Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder presentation skills.
• Experience with enterprise applications, IoT-connected products, robotics, warehouse management systems (WMS), industrial automation, or retail technology environments is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, Jira, and collaborating with software engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Exposure to Linux, Python, C++, edge-device development, or CI/CD environments is a plus.

Education & Experience

• 5-8+ years of experience in UX Design, Product Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Human-Robot Interaction (HRI), or a related field.
• At least 2 years in a senior, lead, or people leadership capacity.
• 3-5+ years of experience designing customer-facing software products or complex enterprise applications.
• Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human-Robot Interaction, Industrial Design, Cognitive Science, Product Design, or a related discipline.
• Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will also be considered.
