Job Overview:
Jabil is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to work in our Richardson, TX location. This position is for 1st shift working Monday-Friday.
What will you do?
Develops automated test hardware and programs to improve current test methods and test yields.
Works closely with design engineers on new products to ensure testability of PCBs and systems in a demand flow manufacturing environment.
Participates in cost reduction programs in Manufacturing, and continuous improvement of test methods and yields.
Determines optimal test methods and justifies the purchase of capital equipment, software and services for development of testing systems.
May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
How will you get here?
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Automation Engineering or other similar disciplines is required.
At least 5 years of experience working in a manufacturing test environment OR similar combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Strong Communication Skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, internal customers and the general public.
Experience in PCBA manufacturing and testing.
Experience or knowledge with Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) and/or Automated X-Ray Inspection (AXI) or other similar background is strongly preferred.
Experience or knowledge with In Circuit Testing (ICT) or functional testing is strongly preferred.
