  • Collaborate within an Agile team environment to design, automate, and continuously improve software testing practices that support creativity, productivity, and customer success.
  • Contribute to a culture of shared learning by participating in sprint ceremonies, peer reviews, Hackathons, Tech Talks, and Communities of Practice.
  • Develop and maintain automated integration and system‑level tests that strengthen our automation pipeline and support consistent, release‑ready deliverables.
  • Build innovative testing solutions using modern tools and frameworks to support ongoing product excellence and market leadership.
  • Partner with your team to refine processes, improve test environments, and integrate high‑quality practices into daily development workflows.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and validate software issues across both unreleased and customer‑facing products, ensuring strong product performance and reliability.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, along with relevant experience 
  • 5+ years’ experience testing software products and designing test cases from a user perspective, or equivalent practical experience. 
  • Ability to develop automated tests using tools such as C#, .Net, Python, Git, Bash/PowerShell scripting, and CI/CD pipelines.  
  • Strong analytical thinking, with a desire to explore new technologies and apply them to solve test automation challenges. 
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in Agile development environments. 
  • Commitment to building high‑quality work through consistent testing, debugging, and documentation practices.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States. Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder). Emerson will not petition for H-1B visas for this position.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart: 

  • Experience automating tests for embedded systems, firmware, or hardware‑integrated products. 
  • Hands‑on experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or other CI/CD platforms. 
  • Experience in API and/or Integration testing
  • Experience developing and executing automated integration tests, system tests, or hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) tests. 
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and participation in sprint planning, retrospectives, code reviews, or test design reviews.
