In Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) we integrate, verify, and validate our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. We also support our customers and partners when they run into issues they cannot resolve. To accomplish this we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work hand-in-hand with our customers and partners to ensure that our products meet or even exceed their expectations.

We are seeking a Senior Systems Test Engineer to join our team onsite in Richardson, Texas as an Automation Test Engineer. In this role you will develop, implement, and maintain a test automation strategy.

What You Will Do

  • Analyze the current regression tests that exist and develop a way to increase test automation in executing regression tests nightly
  • Take existing capability sell-off manual tests that have been executed previously and add relevant pieces to the nightly regression tests that are not currently covered
  • Perform routine Integration, Verification, & Test (IV&T) tasks to contribute to execution of PI objectives to test system capabilities

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience, or a Master’s in STEM and 3 years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience with Postgres and SQL databases to be able to make complex queries to extract information
  • Knowledge in scripting languages to include bash, perl, python and ability to query Oracle DB via sql and MongoDB
  • Experience supporting development and system integration of a software-based system in a DevSecOps environment, including:
  • Experience with the Atlassian Suite, including Jira and Confluence
  • Experience communicating execution status against technical requirements
  • Active and transferrable U.S. government issued Top Secret/SCI with SSBI Poly security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Systems Engineering (SE) or Test Execution (TE) experience on a large government software development contract
  • Experience with SE process development and deployment
  • Experience with configuration management concepts and tools
  • Experience with Gherkin and Cucumber would be preferred
  • Security + Certification

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
